Triacetin is an organic compound with the molecular formula C9H14O6. It is a colorless, odorless, oily liquid that is miscible with ethanol, ether,  and benzene, and slightly soluble in water and carbon disulfide. It is used as a cigarette filter binder and flavor fixative, solvent, and toughening agent. It can also be used in cosmetics, casting, medicine, dyes and other industries. This product is non-toxic and non-irritating.

Colorless oily liquid. Melting point 3ºC, boiling point 258-259ºC, 130.5ºC (0.39kPa), relative density 1.1596 (20/4ºC), refractive index 1.4301, flash point 148.8ºC. Miscible with ethanol, ether,  and benzene, slightly soluble in water and carbon disulfide, solubility in water at 25ºC is 5.9g/100ml, bitter taste.
